Marijuana Vape Pens
It’s 2018, and people still don’t have access to clean and safe marijuana oil-filled vape pens. Purchasing a vape pen that you can feel comfortable with, and that works well is a tough task. Many vape pens are low quality, filled with low quality distillates, and are expensive. Here is our guide on vape pens.
Are Marijuana Vape Pens Safe?
Yes. Marijuana oil-filled vape pens are made up of pure THC/CBD. Vape pens contain little to no carcinogens(depending on the quality of pen and oil), due to the fact you are inhaling pure THC/CBD vapor, unlike smoking marijuana. It is one of the most discreet and safest ways of ingesting THC/CBD.
Look for oil has similar consistency to honey
Good vape oil has the same consistency as honey. Not too thin, and not too thick. The colour should be almost gold. Oil that is too thick, too thin or dark likely has been made improperly, and contains chlorophyll and waxes; which is extremely unhealthy to vape. Oil that is too thin most likely contains unwanted flavorings or cutting agents like propylene glycol and polyethylene glycol. These usually turn into nasty carcinogens once vaped.
How does it taste?
If it tastes burnt or unpleasant, your oil is probably not the best quality and contains some type of additive. If your vape pen is flavoured, check to see if it contains terpenes. Terpenes add flavour in a natural way. If not, it is likely you have oil with artificial flavouring.
What are terpenes?
“Terpenes are fragrant oils that give cannabis its aromatic diversity. They’re what give Blueberry its signature berry smell, Sour Diesel its funky fuel flavor, and Lavender its sweet floral aroma. These oils are secreted in the flower’s sticky resin glands, the same ones that produce THC, CBD, and other cannabinoids. Terpenes are by no means unique to cannabis; they can be found in many other herbs, fruits, and plants as well.”
